Chelsea Grin are out on Asking Alexandria’s Moving On Tour and we had the chance to catch them as they made a stop in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom. As always, they came out and took over the crowd with intense energy. This was one amazing crowd that literally crowd surfed all night. It was awesome to hear them perform some of their new songs off their album, Ashes To Ashes which was released earlier this year on Razor & Tie Records.
Check out the photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan:

All Hail the Mighty Kevin at Computer Care! Why you ask? Because he was able to salvage some of our external hard drive that held two days of Warped Tour coverage…..So now that bits of our little WD drive is back at the office where it belongs, it is time for us to unleash the first batch of photos which includes Breathe Carolina!
Breathe Carolina were amazing both days of our coverage. One thing is for sure, with all of our interviews and running around, we rarely get the time to see every band’s set and even more rare to catch them twice. But with Breathe Carolina, we put everything aside to make sure we were able to see them twice. That is how incredible their shows are. The crowd was filled from front to back, weaving in between the booths. It was a frickin party out there! Check out Rockin Ryan’s photos from their sets:

Warped Tour has always been a way to introduce music lovers to new bands and especially with the Ernie Ball stage. We wanted to tell you about one of our Warped Tour highlights, the set by Battle of the Bands winner Gates of Ivory. Gates of Ivory performed on the June 21st date in Mountain View, CA at the Shoreline Amphitheater. We were excited to catch all the great bands and were literally running from one stage to the next. One of the stages we wanted to stop at was the Ernie Ball stage so we could see Gates of Ivory. I had a friend tell me to make sure to check them out. Well, I am glad we did!
Band Members:
Melissa Marquis – Vocals & Guitar
Stephanie Mar – Vocals & Bass
Jordan Gafford – Vocals & Lead Guitar

They have a really unique sound that blends hardcore, rock, pop, progressive and more. They had the crowd revved up and loving every minute of their set. Check out our photos by Rockin Ryan of their set:

Anberlin have been busy kicking ass on this year’s Vans Warped Tour. They are set to release their new album lowborn on July 22nd via Tooth & Nail Records and follow it up with a farewell world tour. This album brings Anberlin full circle as lowborn will be released on Tooth & Nail, the first record label to which Anberlin was signed. Instead of recording the album together, the musicians did their parts with separate producers they each selected. Drums were recorded with Matt Goldman in Atlanta and later combined with bass and guitar in Lakeland, FL with Copeland’s Aaron Marsh. Vocals were recorded with the band’s longtime collaborator Aaron Sprinkle in Franklin, TN. They have recently released a video for Stranger Ways. Check it out here:
Consisting of Stephen Christian (vocals), Joseph Milligan (guitar), Deon Rexroat (bass), Nathan Young (drums), and Christian McAlhaney (guitar), Anberlin have been a band for 12 years. The rock group formed in central Florida in 2002 and have released six innovative and sincere albums that have affected fans in deeply emotional ways. lowborn will be the band’s seventh and final full-length.
“Usually breakups happen quickly and suddenly, an implosion of sorts,” McAlhaney says. “What is unique about the end of Anberlin is that we discussed where people were at in their lives, what that meant for the band, and then made plans for the end on our own terms.” lowborn reflects true artistic freedom for the band, who felt liberated from any sort of expectation or pressure. “I wanted to enjoy the creative process one more time, with no restrictions, no one breathing down my neck for a single,” Christian says. “Just unadulterated creative freedom.”

The Word Alive have been busy on the Vans Warped Tour playing to packed crowds every set. They deliver a set that is fueled with energy from start to finish. Their modern heavy music has gained them a strong and dedicated fan base. When you catch their set, you will know what I am talking about. You can’t help but be mesmerized by their intensity and musicianship. They are one set you don’t want to miss. We had the chance to chat briefly with vocalist Telle Smith before he had to run off and sing guest vocals with Breath Carolina. Check out the interview here and find out what gives him energy before he plays his sets:
The Word Alive will be performing on all the Warped Tour dates and make sure to check the schedule when you arrive to see what time they will be playing on the Monster Energy stage. If you don’t already already have, pick up their new album, REAL. by heading over to iTunes. REAL.was released on June 10th through Fearless Records and really brings The Word Alive to new levels. They have honed in their craft and delivered a well executed album filled with songs that can’t be contained into a specific genre or need to be. It is simply great music and well deserving of your attention. A couple of my faves on the album are Broken Circuit, Never Forget, Glass Castle, Terminal and especially The Runaway.
