I am so excited to announce the new band, Budderside from one of our favorite vocalists, Patrick Stone. Patrick caught our eye when we saw him perform with Steven Adler’s Adlers Appetite at The Red Devil Lounge in SF a couple years back. He really grabbed our attention with his powerful vocals and a stage presence that made him the ideal frontman.

His new band, Budderside will feature Patrick Stone,  Rich Sacco, and Michael Stone. It is still in the early stages but check out the video teaser which will get you ready to rock! I can’t wait to hear more and one thing is for sure, it is going to fuckin ROCK!

So make sure to visit his Facebook page so you can stay up to date on the latest Budderside news. I am hoping their will be some shows coming up here to Northern California soon!

The highly anticipated new album Golden from rockers Delta Rose is out now! This is one album that is well worth the wait! You can pick up your copy by vi visiting their website: http://www.deltaroseusa.com/. This past year it seemed that many things were said about Rock n Roll, from it being dead, or no new bands, etc. Well you can forget about all that! Rock n Roll is alive and thriving and when you take a listen to the new album from Delta Rose, you will strongly agree with me. They have such a welcoming sound that you just can’t wait to tell all your friends about them.

Earlier this year, Delta Rose had the great honors of opening for Guns n Roses  at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. They delivered a top notch set and have everyone leaving the venue, knowing who Delta Rose is! They always perform a kick ass set and Delta Rose is one of the best live bands out there. They are such a young band but have showmanship that is well beyond their years. While many young bands are out there creating music that sounds as if it is a carbon copy of eachother, Delta Rose is creating their own style of music. It is pure blues and rock n roll and it is addictive.

Check out their song, One Is Too Many which is off their new album, Golden :

To all the people who are crying out for new music and to bring rock and roll back to the forefront, Delta Rose is the answer to your rock and roll prayers. Their new album shows how much this band has grown in 7 years, each one perfecting their own art and have mastered their own style. As I have said before, You can feel the passion in their songs as one message rings true…. These boys are ready to ROCK! Check their site for more details and upcoming show dates. From the studio to the band, there is quite an amazing amount of talent put into this stellar album. The album was recorded at the legendary NRG Studios, mixed by Steve Hardy (Blue October, Vertical Horizon, Joe Bonamassa, and many more), mastered by iconic Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Ramones, Pantera, and many, many more). The album is produced by Bill Schleifer and Isaac Hasson. It truly is a work of art and we are even treated to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dizzy Reed (Guns n Roses) who plays keyboards on their song 10 Long Years.

The album is filled with smoking guitar solos, cool group chants, vibrant blues licks, solid drumming, infectious basslines and the most captivating and edgy yet sweet as honey vocals you will ever hear.  Delta Rose’s new album has definitely polished and perfected true rock and roll.

So pick up your copy and make sure to pick up a few extra copies for all your rocker friends this holiday season. It is time to spread the Delta Rose love. Make sure to visit their social media sites and I will leave you with some of our video interviews with Delta Rose.

The all-female rock/metal band, Crucified Barbara from Sweden have been quite busy. They have collaborated with Heavy Metale Brewery AB,to launch the band’s own beer. The first one is a cocky and loud Red Ale, inspired by the band’s new and acclaimed album In the Red. The beer will be available early next year in Sweden’s Systembolagen.  “A really fun collaboration,” said Per Johansson, master brewer at Heavy Metale. “I, together with Ida Evileye, who is the beerqueen in the band, discussed beer back and forth. We were inside the Bitter and Brown Ale, but felt for a Red Ale. Red Ale reminiscent of both the bitter and Brown Ale. It allows the malt to take up more space and reduces the amount of hops which gives a comfortable, slightly dry and karamellig character with a hint of bitterness to rounding.

We have longed for to make a really good beer, and now we got that opportunity in the collaboration with Heavy Metale,” said Crucified Barbara. “We have had the idea and the vision to create a ‘drink friendly’ and especially good beer for everyone and everything. Just like our music!

In addition to releasing their new beer, they have released a new single, The Ghost Inside which is off their latest album, In The Red. Check out what they have to say about the song:

“‘The Ghost Inside’ is one of our favorite songs on the new album,” said guitarist/vocalist, Mia Coldheart. “Not just because it is fun to play, but also because it is about something that most people at some time wrestle with – the inner voice that says you are not good enough or fit in. The community is flooded with messages screaming at us that we must be good looking, skinny, rich and popular to be happy. And many times it is unfortunately one’s own inner voice that ultimately confirms all that, and pushes away the last bit into the darkness. The text was written as a pep [talk] to those in touch and tell us that our songs have helped them through tough periods in their lives, but I’ve subsequently realized that I wrote this as much for myself.”

You can check out the song by heading over to Spotify here:

We had the chance to catch Crucified Barbara when they came to San Francisco with CrashDiet and performed at the DNA Lounge. What an awesome show they put on with intense energy from start to finish. We look forward to their return.  Check out their video for their song,  I Sell My Kids for Rock n Roll.

SWITCHBLADE-SERENADE-TATTOO

One of our favorite rock bands,  Switchblade Serenade have announced new music for the coming year. They have announced that they will be releasing a new EP and it will have a heavier modern sound. These guys are incredible musicians and I know one thing, they are unstoppable and we can’t wait to hear their new music.  They released the following statement on their Facebook page which tells a bit more of the vision of the band and the evolution of their new sound:

Over the past few months we have had some changing thoughts on what we want Switchblade Serenade to be. Since we started we have been labeled as an “80’s glam/sleaze tribute band etc.”. We never set out to be anything like that. In our earlier years our influence of bands like Motley Crue and Guns N’ Roses was more prominent in our writing style. However we never wanted to be a so called “80’s Band”.

We have been getting tired of being labeled as such and we wanted to let our other influences shine through and finally make us into the band we always wanted to be. With that being said, a lot of you probably know that we have been working on a new EP and the music is far different from anything we’ve ever released. We have been working on these songs everyday for the past few months and we will be going into the studio to officially track these songs in December. This EP will have a heavy/modern sound to it and will be a big change. By heavy we don’t mean genres like Black Metal, Thrash Metal, Etc. It’s still Rock but in a much heavier and modern fashion.

We felt that there was a need to explain everything because our new music and style will be much different from the Switchblade Serenade you may know. Our musical taste are always changing and expanding and they will be explained in this new EP. We will be posting everyday and there will be various updates about our new music. Stay tuned….

From the first time I saw Like A Storm perform as the opening act for Alter Bridge in 2011 at the Regency Ballroom, I knew this was one band to watch out for. They just had the most amazing energy and a stage presence well beyond their young years. Fast forward to 2014 and they have really become one of the bands to truly take over 2014. They have been busy doing some non stop touring and still have more dates ahead.

Well this past weekend it was a déjà vu moment as Like A Storm returned to San Francisco as support for Alter Bridge. This time they took the stage at the legendary Warfield Theater. It was a packed house and once again Like A Storm came out and delivered a non-stop energetic set that had everyone know who they were! They rocked the place and it is amazing to see how the crowd was purely engaged with them. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set:
