Nothing More have released a new music video and this time it is for my FAVORITE song of theirs, Mr. MTV. This is one powerful track that has some very thought provoking lyrics. The first time I heard them play this was last year when we saw them perform at Aftershock 2013. They blew us away and this year, they did it again. Check out the new video here:

This is one band that exceeds all your expectations with their live performances. From their three man bass solo and their full band percussion performance, everyone is left in awe of their over the top stage presence. They are currently out on tour with Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat and Hellyeah. Definitely a must see tour. Check the dates below and get yourself to a show:

It has been awesome watching a band truly get the recognition they so well deserve. Nothing More has been one of those bands. We first discovered Nothing More a couple years back and from the first time I saw their live footage videos, I was amazed at how come I didn’t learn of these fantastic musicians sooner! Last year, Nothing More performed at Aftershock Festival, not once but twice! They were the only band to play both days, first during their regular scheduled slot on the side stages and then on the second day they were invited to play the big stage which they took over and dominated. Check out our coverage from last year’s show: Nothing More at Aftershock 2013.

Well, a lot has happened in the last year. Last year the unsigned band were really getting noticed and now they are signed to Seven Eleven Music and have had great success with the release of their self titled full length album available on iTunes here. They have toured extensively and everywhere they go, they put on their unbelievable stage show to include their full band percussion performance as well as a three man bass solo! Their song, This Is The Time has been active on the charts since it’s release and has been getting a tremendous amount of airplay. There is no stopping these guys and we can’t wait for them to return to Aftershock.

Nothing More are just about to embark on a new tour, We Are Not Machines Tour 2014 with special guests Sleepwave. They have a couple starting tour dates this week and officially kick off the tour with Sleepwave on August 5th at The Riot Room in Kansas City, MO and wraps up at Aftershock. They then immediately head out on another tour with co-headliners Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat. Make sure to visit their website for complete tour dates.

We were excited to catch Nothing More as they played at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento last week. They were finishing up the tour with Eve To Adam, Kyng and Lacuna Coil. They once again put on an incredible high energy show! Just last year, they stole the show at Aftershock Festival and were the only band to play two sets during the festival. The first day they played the Ernie Ball stage and the second day they were moved to the Main Monster Stage. It was awesome, you can check out our post on it here.

They came in to the Ace of Spades and dominated the crowd as they brought their incredible four piece percussion performance as well as a three man bass guitar solo!!! They have incredible stage presence and put on a show you don’t want to miss. They wrapped up the tour with Lacuna Coil and set right out on another tour, this time with Chevelle as well as other dates. Make sure to check the dates below and catch Nothing More when they come through your town.   Here is a slideshow of the photos that Rockin Ryan took from their set:

Last week we told you about our Aftershock Spotlight on an incredible band, Nothing More. You can read that original post here.   Well Nothing More from San Antonio, Texas and New Orleans, LA definitely stole the show at the Aftershock Festival.

On Saturday they played the Ernie Ball stage and had everyone taking notice of this high energy alternative rock/metal band.  We were so glad to catch their set and even more excited when we learned that on Sunday they would be playing the main stage since a couple bands could not make it to the show.

What an incredible opportunity for them and they truly did a SPECTACULAR job. We had already been talking with fans about their performance on Saturday and then Sunday, they were the talk of the day! We had people asking us about them and telling us to get more info on the band. We have already been in love with them since the first moment of listening to them not long ago.  It was impressive to watch how others were finally taking notice of this incredible band, including other musicians. On Sunday, many took to Twitter/Instagram to spread the word about them, including fellow musicians like Ashley Purdy of Black Veil Brides.

From the Ernie Ball Stage to the Main Monster Stage they brought their incredible four piece percussion performance as well as a three man bass guitar solo!!! Check out our photos from the Aftershock Festival and Nothing More‘s two shows.

Our Aftershock Spotlight is on an incredible band, Nothing More. Nothing More is from San Antonio, Texas and New Orleans, LA. This bad ass band definitely has everyone taking a good look at them. They are bringing a new life to alternative rock/progressive that actually has them challenging genres and sounds. Their unique sound has many turning heads and people wanting to know more about Nothing More.

We had the opportunity to talk with Jonny Hawkins – lead vocalist and Daniel Oliver – bassist for the band. I will tell you that they both also perform secondary percussions for the band at times during their shows. You  may wonder what I mean but if you ever had the incredible opportunity to watch Nothing More you would know exactly what I was talking about. They put on a four guy percussion performance on their incredible solos that will leave you in awe!  It is a show within a show that can rival any Vegas act with their Rock n Roll Cirque du Solei on drums.  Check out some fan video  footage here:

So sit back and check out the interview with Jonny and Daniel:

We are heading out to the Aftershock Festival and see if we can bring you more highlights from the Nothing More performance. Until then, head over to their bandwear store  page and order the album.  So check out their music and when we get back from Aftershock we will bring you highlights from their Aftershock performance.
