Five Finger Death Punch have always been one of my favorite bands. They are not only a band of great musicians but some of the nicest, caring guys in the industry. They were recently featured as one of our Aftershock Festival Bands of the Day as they will be making stop from their co-headlining tour with Volbeat next month for the festival.

They have recently released their video for Wrong Side of Heaven and are hard at work delivering an important message about the staggering statistics of returning veterans afflicted and living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Check out the emotionally driven video and truly poignant message here:

The video has surpassed a million views in less than weeks time. One thing is certain, Five Finger Death Punch not only wanted to make everyone aware of the situation, but they are doing more than that by insuring that people join forces to assist these veterans. In tandem with the video’s premiere, the group ignited a special crowd-funding campaign for a jersey entitled 5FDP4VETS “No One Gets Left Behind” on Indiegogo. The campaign’s goal of raising $50,000 was bested by double in less than two day’s time–exceeding $100,000. The campaign continues to run and the proceeds will benefit organizations that joined forces with the group to raise awareness for veterans suffering from PTSD. Fans who pledged will receive a limited-edition jersey created and designed by guitarist ZOLTAN BATHORY. The initial run of shirts ran out, and the band expanded it by 1,000 in order to keep up with the overwhelming demand.  You can visit the campaign page by visiting here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/5fdp4vets-no-one-gets-left-behind.

In addition, the band launched the webpage www.5fdp4Vets.com. It sheds light on veterans afflicted with PTSD, their struggles, and offers a video call-to-action to fans asking them to send in their fallen loved ones’ dog tags to build a memorial wall commemorating them. This memorial wall will be prominently featured on the band’s upcoming fall arena tour as their backdrop. Once the tour concludes, the proper museum will be sought out to showcase this memorial to the fallen heroes who gave their lives serving our country.

So please make sure to check out the video, share it with your friends and family so we can all become more aware and see how we can help those who have fought for our freedom.  We look forward to seeing the return of Five Finger Death Punch at the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in September.

They are known for their high energy set that has the crowd complete engaged. Check the upcoming tour dates and see if they will be coming to a venue near you. This is one concert you don’t want to miss.

Today our spotlight is on a band that delivered one of the best sets at last year’s Aftershock Festival. We are pleased to announce the return of Five Finger Death Punch and they are our Featured Band of the Day. Their  performance was awesome last year. These guys came out with adrenaline running through their veins and they did not let up on their fierce energy.

The crowd was intense and Ivan had control of them from the front of the pit to the very back of the crowd. His magnetic drew them all in as they were then treated to the spectacular guitar shredding by Jason Hook and Zoltan Bathory. But then you couldn’t help but watch the beard, the man himself, Chris Kael, bassist extraordinaire. Then you couldn’t help but look back and see the ever smiling Jeremy Spencer who just KICKS ASS on the drums and doesn’t miss a beat. He is always so damn happy and looks like he is having a hell of a time, they all do. These guys truly do perform for their fans and music is in their blood.

This year promises to be another bad ass time with Five Finger Death Punch and I hope you are there to join us!

One of our favorite bands, Five Finger Death Punch have released their new video for their cover of “House of the Rising Sun”. It is awesome and one thing is for sure,, when 5FDP do something, they always do it with a 150% passion. One of the reasons, I love this band so much. The Mad Max style video was filmed in the high deserts of Nevada and was directed by the band’s guitarist Zoltan Bathory in conjunction with Thought Pirates Film’s Brian Neal.  Zoltan explains,   “The song’s lyrics are about gambling and drinking and we wanted to recreate those gun swinging outlaw poker scenes familiar from classic western movies, however I just couldn’t see us riding horses in the video so we shifted eras and went for a Mad Max-like post apocalyptic vibe with the cars and the bikes we ride anyway. We didn’t want any performance footage; the plan was to make the song sort of a soundtrack to a short story.”

Five Finger Death Punch have had great success with their two-part masterwork, THE WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN AND THE RIGHTEOUS SIDE OF HELL ─ VOLUME 1 and VOLUME 2.  In addition, they have a busy summer as they will be performing at all major North American rock festivals this summer (dates below) and are nominated for 6 Revolver Golden Gods (in the following categories: Album of the Year, Best Vocalist, Best Guitarist(s), Best Bassist, Song of the Year and Most Dedicated Fans). The award show is set for April 23rd in Los Angeles.  Stay tuned for our Revolver Golden Gods Five Finger Death Punch Recipes.

First off, I may need to remind you we are 2 WEEKS away from the release of Five Finger Death Punch‘s album, “The Wrong Side of Heaven and The Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2”. It is set for a November 19th release via Prospect Park in North America and Eleven Seven Music elsewhere. You can still pre-order your copy here.

They have been garnering such great success from Volume 1 and I can’t wait to see what Volume 2 brings. They played at the Aftershock Festival in September and were absolutely amazing.

At Aftershock, these guys come out with adrenaline running through their veins and they do not let up on their fierce energy. The crowd was intense and Ivan had control of them from the front of the pit to the very back of the crowd. His magnetic drew them all in as they were then treated to the spectacular guitar shredding by Jason Hook and Zoltan Bathory. They are busy tearing up Europe as they tour with Avenged Sevenfold. Then following their Europe tour, they will head out on Shiprocked Cruise in January and follow up with the Soundwave Festival in Australia!  So make sure to mark your calendars for November 19th so we can all be enjoying “The Wrong Side of Heaven and The Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2”. I will leave you with the photos from their Aftershock Festival performance.

~ Enjoy, Marisol

So fans head over to their website and cast your vote today!  In addition their will be three special award presentations to include Golden God Award (presented by Sumerian Records) which is given to a special honoree who embodies the spirit of hard rock and metal. This year the Golden God Award will be presented to Rob Zombie.  The Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award (presented by Ernie Ball®) will be given to Metallica and the Riff Lord Award, (presented by EMG Pickups®) is being awarded to the legendary guitarist in the field of hard rock & heavy metal, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. Now that is an awesome show that I can’t wait for.

It is time that we show the world that Hard Rock and Metal is here to stay! We all know what the Grammy’s think of Hard Rock when they didn’t even air Halestorm winning and receiving the award for Hard Rock, Heavy Metal Performance. I have seen Halestorm 6 times and they are incredible live. The Oscars used to be fun to watch but I don’t think I have tuned in for about 10 years now.   So raise your fists and horns in the air and let’s show them how an award show is done!

I think it is the perfect time to start planning your Revolver Golden God Awards Viewing Party! Make sure you have XBOX Live or check the listings for the AXS TV so you are ready for the big night. I will be putting together a Revolver Golden God Awards Viewing Party Planner up next week so you can get a head start on this big event. We will have a guideline and checklist for everything you need to have the perfect Revolver Golden Gods Awards party night. We will have menu ideas like Five Finger Vodka Death Punch, Metallica “Black”ened Salmon, Stone Stour Margaritas, Halestorm Love Bites mini Quiches, Anthrax powder cookies, and The Dillinger Sandwich Plan. We have so much planned for you to make your award night a memorable one! Hey it is on a Thursday, and we all know that Thursday is the new Friday.
