Like Moths to Flames is one band that I have been waiting to catch live and last night, they lived up to and exceeded every expectation I had. These guys have such intense passion that shines right through their hardcore music. You can’t stand still as their energy charges the venue and ignites the crowd into a mosh/circle pit frenzy amid the continuous crowd surfing fans.

The Monster Energy Outbreak made a well deserved stop in Sacramento at the Ace of Spades and it was a night full of kick ass music. What was really special about the night was that each band had a great turnout of dedicated fans and you could definitely see that Like Moths to Flames had a really strong fanbase. It seemed that everywhere I turned, I could see fans proudly wearing their  LMTF shirts and merch. It is great to see the fans continuing to support their favorite bands and for getting out to a live show. It was a packed house and another sold out show.

Check out the photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

Make sure to check the remaining dates of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour and get yourself to a show.

The dates have been set for June 26, 27 & 28th and held in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Grammy award winner and platinum artist Linkin Park have been confirmed as first headliner of the three day festival. “We’re really excited to play the first ever Loudwire music festival,” says Chester Bennington, lead vocalist of Linkin Park. “This will be one epic rock show!

We are very excited to launch the Loudwire Music Festival at Jam Ranch,” remarked Dhruv Prasad, Executive Vice President, Live Events for Townsquare Media. “Loudwire is one of our flagship brands–spanning broadcast radio, syndicated radio and a national website–so the addition of a live festival seemed a natural way to evolve the brand and deliver a great experience to rock music fans.”

We love the opportunities that festivals bring to music lovers. They are able to see many of their favorite bands in one weekend and it always opens them up to check out new bands. The experience at festivals is always a memorable one as you enjoy the bands, have a great time and make friends with the same music interest. Make sure to mark your calendar for this one so you can be part of their inaugural festival!

Festival-goers will have the option of a fully immersive weekend with the festival’s on-site camping selections.  Camping options range from standard (within walking distance to the festival grounds) starting at $95  to premier (the closest camping to the festival grounds) and VIP (campgrounds for VIP ticket holders only, close to festival grounds), starting at $180.

Weekend ticket options include General Admission weekend passes for $79. Reserved Seating starts at $225, and the VIP Seating & Experience starts at $400. Additional festival information, including ticketing and camping options, can be found here.

We will continue to bring you updates as the lineup and artists are announced. We will be marking the dates on our calendar so that we can bring you full coverage from the festival.

Aftershock Festival 2014 was a great success. The show went off beautifully. Yes, the heat might have been unbearable and with the drought this year, we had to endure a lot more dust but the music kicked ass from start to finish. This is definitely California’s Number One Music Festival and we are already looking forward to next year. Bay Area band Dig The Kid kicked off the entire festival and Godsmack closed it out on Sunday night. Every single set was awesome and just proves to the naysayers that Rock n Roll is Alive and Well!

new medicine

We have been anxiously awaiting new music from New Medicine and were so excited with the release of their bad ass new track, One Too Many. Now you can check out their newly released music video for it here:

I love this track! It has a cool chorus amid chant style vocals and gives you that anthemic feel to it that will invigorate you. Their new album, Breaking The Model was released on August 25th via Imagen Records. The album is one of our favorites and we have it in our regular playlist rotation. You can’t go wrong with the high energy music of New Medicine. We are very excited to catch New Medicine this weekend at the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are set to perform at the Coors Stage on Sunday at 1:35. Don’t miss them!

For now, make sure you pick up your copy of Breaking the Model on iTunes here, and get your  Aftershock Tickets so you don’t miss New Medicine! For full details about all tickets, military ticket discounts, hotel and VIP packages, visit www.AFTERSHOCKConcert.com.
