“The textbook definition of perseverance is to remain steadfast and stay the course despite being faced with extreme obstacles. If you look up the term it just might have a picture of Omaha based rock band Emphatic. The band has overcome countless storms and nothing has been able to stand in their way. Emphatic has had several songs on the charts and has toured with some of today’s biggest names in music.”

Emphatic has had great success with their albums  “Damage” and “Another Life”, along with 4 singles charting in the top 40 active rock charts. They are set to release their new album in 2015 and we are excited to take a listen and I am sure they will not disappoint in giving us another heavy dose of hard rock!

9electric

One of our favorite bands, 9Electric has announced that they will be joining EMPHATIC on their Break The Ice Tour. The tour will kick off on December 3rd in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Guests on the tour also include Kaleido.  Vocalist Thunderwood says,

Me and the 9E boys are so stoked to hit the road with Emphatic and Kaleido this winter: loads of talent, rad songs, and high energy from these bands, so I know we’re gonna be in great company. There’s nothing like tour comradery, and that goes for the bands and for the people we bump fists with city by city, too! We’re really looking forward to catching up with you diehards again, and as for you nubes- can’t wait to meet you! Whoever you are, this tour lineup is gonna knock you on your ass, in the best way possible. See you soon.”

If you don’t already have it, make sure to pick up their latest EP, Control which was released earlier this year on Street Smart Recordings. You can pick up your copy on iTunes here. Check out a video for their song, Goodbye which is featured on their EP:

9Electric is:

  • Thunderwood – Vocals
  • *Mikey Lopez* – Guitar
  • CaseyDC – Bass
  • Micah Electric – Drums/Programming

Check out a video that Rockin Ryan created with live footage of their set to their song, Filthy:

These four guys have the energy of an army packed in them and are determined to get the crowd on their feet and having a good time which isn’t too hard because their music is absolutely infectious and you can’t stand still. Thunderwood has quite a stage presence that he doesn’t limit to just the stage, as he takes himself as he walks on the bar counters and even propels himself onto the crowd and took his crowd surfing skills to the back of the house insuring everyone was as energized as themselves. Another highlight of their set was when they performed a hellacious cover of AC/DC’s Dirty Deeds. Check out a slideshow of Rockin’ Ryan’s photos from their se earlier this year at the Boardwalk in Orangevalet:

Emphatic

Hard rockers Emphatic signs to Pavement Entertainment and are set to release their new album in late 2014.  “With some welcomed changes that have occurred with Emphatic, we felt it necessary to get back into the studio and make an album that reflects the current vision of the band” states guitarist Justin McCain who will also be producing the new album. “We are excited about this new opportunity and look forward to the road ahead“.

Emphatic has had great success with their albums  “Damage” and “Another Life”, along with 4 singles charting in the top 40 active rock charts. We are excited to see what this new album will bring and I am sure they will not disappoint in giving us another heavy dose of hard rock!

The band has suffered through some changes in its past but according to Pavement’s Director of A&R Tim King, “Any band that has longevity and is in it for the long haul had to suffer through ups and downs. This includes changes with labels, management, and sometimes even band members. There are so many bands that just pack it in and call it a day when things get tough. Bands like Emphatic separate the men from the boys. The band’s determination and great songwriting is a key factor as to why I signed them to Pavement. We have many great things planned for these guys.

So make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news, tour dates, album details.  I will leave you with an acoustic performance that Emphatic recently did for 95 WIIL Rock.
