Wayne Static, founding member of Static-X has announced a co-headlining tour with Powerman5000. The tour will also include support by American Head Charge on select dates. One thing is for sure, this tour is bursting with intensity and energy and will definitely be one not to miss. It kicks off on November 6th in Waterloo, IA and will run through to November 30th in McCallem, TX. Static says about the tour,

2014 has been an awesome year! We just finished up the 15th anniversary Wisconsin Death Trip tour. I’ve got the best band behind me that I’ve ever had, and I am very excited to round out the year with a co-headline tour with Powerman 5000. It’s another 15th anniversary tour! It’s a testament to both bands that we are both still going strong and the timing is perfect for us to tour together again. I am equally excited to share the stage with American Head Charge again. I believe it was 2005 when we toured together last. This is a great line up and this tour is gonna kill!”

We recently had the opportunity to catch Powerman5000 when they made a stop at The Boardwalk in Orangevale. One thing is for sure Powerman5000 = ENERGY. These five guys come out on stage and just bleed energy and feed the crowd with their electronic metal rock.

Check out this tribute video that Rockin Ryan made which includes live footage of their set:

So make sure to check the tour dates and see when they will be coming to a venue near you. You can also visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.

Powerman5000

American Head Charge

Energy:  – noun

  2. capacity or tendency for intense active; vigor, exertion
  3. Powerman5000

Friday night we headed out to The Boardwalk in Orangevale to catch Powerman5000 and it was a damn good night for music! They had some great opening bands and a killer set by 9Electric. One thing is for sure Powerman5000 = ENERGY. These five guys come out on stage and just bleed energy and feed the crowd with their electronic metal rock. Even with the soundstage technical difficulties they had to deal with, didn’t break this band from delivering an adrenaline filled set. Check out this tribute video that Rockin Ryan made which includes live footage of their set:

In addition to playing fan favorites, they treated us to several of their new songs and really got everyone pumped for the release of their new album, Builders of the Future which is out later this week on May 27th. Check out Rockin Ryan’s photos from their set here:

The crowd went wild for their new track, How To Be  A Human as well as their new song, Invade.Destroy. Repeat. It was great to see the crowd so fueled and fired up. They did away with the typical boring walk off for the encore and instead, came at us heavy with a couple more songs! It was awesome. The night ended with everyone pumped up and singing along to  When Worlds Collide. The set list for the night was:

  • Invade. Destroy. Repeat
  • Supervillain
  • Nobody’s Real
  • Hey, That’s right
  • How To Be A Human
  • You’re Gonna Love It
  • Show Me What You Got
  • We Want It All
  • City of The Dead
  • Horror Show
  • Bombshell
  • Supernova Goes Pop
  • Stars Revolt
  • When Worlds Collide
