Our friends in New Politics have just released their new music video for their song, Everywhere I Go, (Kings and Queens). You will even catch Thanks to The Walking Dead’s Christian Serratos, pro skater Ben Hatchell, and LOLO in it. So check it out here:

New Politics are currently out on their headlining tour with Bad Suns and SomeKindaWonderful. In case you missed it, check out a repost of our coverage from their San Francisco show:

* * * * * * *

New Politics are out on another headlining tour which will take them across the country. Sunday night they made a stop in San Francisco and performed at the legendary Fillmore. It was great to see them headline at the Fillmore when only a few years ago, they were there opening for The Dirty Heads. From the first time, we saw New Politics open for The Spill Canvas at Slim’s in 2010. They blew us away as we dubbed them “Energizer Bunny Meets Nirvana”.

They put on one of the most energetic, engaging sets that you don’t ever want to miss. Once again at the Fillmore, they exceeded all of our expectations and delivered a top notch set. Check out a sneak peek of photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

Their set included old and new songs which had the crowd brimming with excitement. It was great to hear the crowd singing along to their new song, Everywhere I Go (Kings and Queens) which will be featured on their upcoming new album, VIkings set for a release in February 2015 on DCD2/Warner Bros records.  They even brought the house down as they performed a cover of Beastie Boys Sabotage. What a night it was and I truly am proud to see how far these young men have come. They are definitely one of the hardest working bands out there and it is no surprise to see their fast rise to the top. They deserve it!

The tour included their special guests of Bad Suns and SomeKindaWonderful.   Check out the dates below and see if they will be coming to a venue near you:

11/12 St. Louis, MO @ The Pageant ( Tickets )
11/13 Minneapolis, MN @ Varsity Theater ( Tickets )
11/14 Milwaukee, WI @ The Rave / Eagles Club ( Tickets )

11/28 Buffalo, NY @ Town Ballroom ( Tickets )
11/29 Philadelphia, PA @ Theater of Living Arts ( Tickets )
11/30 Hartford, CT @ Webster Theater ( Tickets )

Make sure to catch them out on tour. I know I always tell you to make sure to get out to shows, but SERIOUSLY this is one show you WANT to BE AT!  New Politics are amazing with their live performances and their stage presence I think is one that can be matched.  You can’t help but leave their show in a better mood, better place, or just full of energy and excitement, regardless of what you may be going through. Their music is like instant adrenaline and bliss.

Have you ever seen our interview with them at last year’s Uproar Festival? If not, check it out h ere:

Also make sure you have their latest CD, “A Bad Girl in Harlem” which will have your energy flowing within seconds! You can get it here on Itunes.  Definitely on replay at our house.

Hailing from Copenhagen, Demark is Forever Still and these fierce rockers are ready to take over the music scene with their female fronted rock band. In a time when the music scene is suffering such an identity crisis and people are busy placing labels and genres on a band’s music, along comes along Forever Still and is breaking the mold of Rock and Roll. Their intense sound can take you from catchy melodies, passionate vocals to smoldering guitars and energetic drumming. The stunning vocals of Maja brings such intensity to their songs, she has quite a vocal range and is spectacular at creating the connection to the listener.

Cover Art Scars Single

Forever Still has just released a video for their song, Scars and it really highlights the intense energy that this band brings out. Their passion for music fuels the adrenaline that they release on stage. Check it out here:

The song is about some very violent and dark emotions, and we wanted the video to reflect that” says front woman Maja Schønning. “So we went down into this really creepy, flooded basement and shot the main part of the video there. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, but neither was the events that inspired this song. I feel like we captured the essence of it really well”

Now that you are hooked on their new song, you can download it for free at the band’s website: www.forverstill.dk. Make sure to tell all your friends about this awesome band. The band has recently recruited two new members and is playing their first show with this lineup on October 18 at High Voltage in Copenhagen. I will see if we can bring you an interview with Forever Still.

The stunning vocals of Maja brings such intensity to their songs, she has quite a vocal range and is spectacular at creating the connection to the listener.

Forever Still is Maja Schønning, Mikkel Haastrup, Chad T. Charlton and Carsten Christensen and they have been causing quite a buzz out in Denmark and now it is time for the rest of the world to fall in love with them.  They have recently released their 4 song EP Breaking Free. You can purchase the album on their Bandcamp page and I would strongly encourage it since I am getting quite hooked on it!

Cold Black

Last year I told you about a great Heavy Hard Rock band, Cold Black. You can read more about them here. I described them as “having a great heavy sound that reminds me of  some of my favorite bands, like Asking Alexandria blended with Black Veil Brides and a touch of Motley Crue old school style!”.

They have just released a new video for their song, “These Lips Will Go Blue” and it is BAD ASS all the way!!! They have also added Jeff Polson for bass which Victor Rimpler  was handling before with his KILLER vocals. Then you have Alex Rimpler and Martin Dupoint on guitars and Jamal Aaron Gordon on drums.Check out the video here:

The new song is off of their upcoming EP “In Motion” which is set for a December 15th release on Itunes. The new video deo which is produced by Tony Gammalo at Spider Studios, Olmsted Falls, Ohio. I love Cold Black and so wish they would come out here to California. We need more of their music.

So make sure to take a listen and crank up some Cold Black! Share the video with your friends and visit their social media sites!
