Our friends in New Politics have just released their new music video for their song, Everywhere I Go, (Kings and Queens). You will even catch Thanks to The Walking Dead’s Christian Serratos, pro skater Ben Hatchell, and LOLO in it. So check it out here:

New Politics are currently out on their headlining tour with Bad Suns and SomeKindaWonderful. In case you missed it, check out a repost of our coverage from their San Francisco show:

* * * * * * *

New Politics are out on another headlining tour which will take them across the country. Sunday night they made a stop in San Francisco and performed at the legendary Fillmore. It was great to see them headline at the Fillmore when only a few years ago, they were there opening for The Dirty Heads. From the first time, we saw New Politics open for The Spill Canvas at Slim’s in 2010. They blew us away as we dubbed them “Energizer Bunny Meets Nirvana”.

They put on one of the most energetic, engaging sets that you don’t ever want to miss. Once again at the Fillmore, they exceeded all of our expectations and delivered a top notch set. Check out a sneak peek of photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

Their set included old and new songs which had the crowd brimming with excitement. It was great to hear the crowd singing along to their new song, Everywhere I Go (Kings and Queens) which will be featured on their upcoming new album, VIkings set for a release in February 2015 on DCD2/Warner Bros records.  They even brought the house down as they performed a cover of Beastie Boys Sabotage. What a night it was and I truly am proud to see how far these young men have come. They are definitely one of the hardest working bands out there and it is no surprise to see their fast rise to the top. They deserve it!

The tour included their special guests of Bad Suns and SomeKindaWonderful.   Check out the dates below and see if they will be coming to a venue near you:

11/12 St. Louis, MO @ The Pageant ( Tickets )
11/13 Minneapolis, MN @ Varsity Theater ( Tickets )
11/14 Milwaukee, WI @ The Rave / Eagles Club ( Tickets )

11/28 Buffalo, NY @ Town Ballroom ( Tickets )
11/29 Philadelphia, PA @ Theater of Living Arts ( Tickets )

Make sure to catch them out on tour. I know I always tell you to make sure to get out to shows, but SERIOUSLY this is one show you WANT to BE AT!  New Politics are amazing with their live performances and their stage presence I think is one that can be matched.  You can’t help but leave their show in a better mood, better place, or just full of energy and excitement, regardless of what you may be going through. Their music is like instant adrenaline and bliss.

Have you ever seen our interview with them at last year’s Uproar Festival? If not, check it out h ere:

Here we are at #6 for our countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014 and we are excited to announce the honor goes to New Politics!  I am sure you can’t imagine them having an even bigger year than 2013, but it is true. These guys are on a non stop Energizer Bunny  track to success and just have the Midas Touch. Sometimes, it is hard to think that only 4 years ago we met this amazing band in a small nightclub in San Francisco. Read one of my previous posts here.

I will say, that night, we KNEW that this opening band had the IT FACTOR! You might ask what is the IT FACTOR? Well., the IT Factor for us:

  • Non stop energy
  • Talented well-written fun music
  • Charismatic personalities
  • and the most important thing; the love and dedication to their fans. No matter how big or how small the crowd is, they perform at 150% at all times and wants everyone to enjoy the show just as much as they are!

So, it is no surprise to see New Politics rise to the top and will continue their momentum throughout 2014. Their new album A Bad Girl In Harlem is a stellar album filled with songs that are fun, upbeat, catchy and demand to be heard. Some of our top personal faves are “Harlem, Just Like Me, Goodbye Copenhagen, and Give me Hope”. Hell, their entire catalog of music is on our favorite’s list. You can pick up A Bad Girl in Harlem on Itunes here.

We had the chance to catch  New Politcs when they performed at the Uproar Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA earlier this year. They once again put on a set that had everyone leave knowing their name and calling them their new favorite band. You can check out a tribute video that Rockin Ryan put together which includes footage and photos from their set:

We also had the chance to chat with David, Soren and Louis before their set and are pleased to bring that interview to you here:

New Politics have had an amazing year touring with 30 Seconds to Mars, Pink, Fall out Boy, Uproar Festival bands;Jane’s Addiction, Walking Papers, Alice in Chains, etc.  They are also set to play the Fox TV’s New Year’s Eve Show That will be the only show we are watching that night!  Then they will head out on their first US Headlining Tour which starts on January 14th. Check the tour dates on their website because you cannot miss their show. You can head over to their website for all the upcoming tour dates here.

How about another tribute video by Rockin Ryan to enjoy? This is for the high energy song, “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” which is truly my Number 1 Go To Song.  Whether I am down, sad, bored or need to get energized and revived with life…. I play it and the whole world makes sense once again and all is right.

Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on the latest New Politics news. You don’t want to miss a thing.

Just announced….. Our friends in one of our favorite bands, New Politics which we had the the opportunity to interview on the Uproar tour, have just announced their headlining tour for USA. These guys have been so busy and just keep going. From the first time I saw them in 2010 I called them the Energizer Bunny Meets Nirvana and here they are… like the energizer bunny… they keep going and going and going!

They have had quite a year touring on the Uproar Festival, then they set out on Tour in support of Pink and then 30 Seconds to Mars. They are just on fire and this is truly a great year for them. But be prepared, they are starting 2014 off with their own headlining tour across the U.S.A. with special guests Magic Man and Sleeper Agent.  You can watch their fun video announcement here:

I know always tell you to make sure to get out to shows, but SERIOUSLY this is one show you WANT to BE AT!  New Politics are amazing with their live performances and their stage presence I think is one that can be matched.  You can’t help but leave their show in a better mood, better place, or just full of energy and excitement, regardless of what you may be going through. Their music is like instant adrenaline and bliss.

So check the tour dates below and mark your calendars… We will see you there! Check out the interview we did with them when they were out on the Uproar Tour.

We first met New Politics over 3 years ago when they played in San Francisco and you can check out that write up here to get our initial perspective on their show.   It has been so wonderful to see their fan base grow and for them to set out on this National headlining tou.  You are not going to want to miss this.

Also make sure you have picked up their new CD, “A Bad Girl in Harlem” which will have your energy flowing within seconds! You can get it here on Itunes.  Definitely on replay at our house.

Just announced….. Our friends in one of our favorite bands, New Politics which we had the the opportunity to catch and interview on the Uproar tour last week, have just announced they will be joining PINK on her arena tour in October.

What a great opportunity for our friends in New Politics to show the world just how incredible they are live in concert. To imagine seeing them perform in an arena atmosphere just gets my heart pumping.  New Politics just played the Zippo stage on the Uproar Tour and made a stop at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View on September 11th and they truly stole the show! If people arrived not knowing who New Politics were, they definitely left knowing them and also became new fans!

We caught them earlier before their set and are pleased to bring you this interview:
