Burn Halo are working on releasing their new album later this year. The album is definitely heavier and it is going to be INSANE! It has a strong deep 18 Visions influence….. Heavy! Heavy! Heavy!  It is solid and intense on all levels. They have been getting a lot of praise for their first single, Wolves of War.  “The song ‘Wolves of War’ is a statement of aggression and angst towards all that have never given us a chance. This is our answer to the naysayers. With a foot upon your throat, we will be heard,” says Burn Halo vocalist James Hart. “Our label and management felt confident enough after hearing early demos that they pretty much left us alone during the recording process allowing us to make the record we envisioned, with no compromises and no regrets. This album is that vision.”

Band Members:

  • James Hart – Vocals
  • Joey Roxx – Guitar
  • Ryan Frost – Guitar
  • Johnny Badbones – Drums
  • Chris Bishop – Bass

Check out our photos from Rockin Ryan of Burn Halo at Aftershock Festival.

They completely took over the crowd and dominated that festival during their set. Joey Roxx had a broken leg but you wouldn’t have known because he continued to treat the crowd to his bad ass guitar playing. James was jumping around and channeling his 18 Visions stage presence and brought up the level of intensity. I think the band displayed a tight lineup and felt that this was one of their best shows. We can’t wait to see them again and even more excited for the new album!

Burn Halo released a lyric video for their song, “Wolves of War” which is off their new album and it is INSANE!! It definitely has a deep 18 Visions influence….. Heavy! Heavy! We featured Burn Halo on our Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014. You can read more from that post here.  Burn Halo  was created by James Hart (frontman of Eighteen Visions) sometime in 2007. We have had the pleasure of seeing Burn Halo about a dozen times since 2009  and they always put on an incredible show. James Hart always delivers intense energy with his vocals and Joey Roxx, their kick ass guitarist is right up front and center (well stage left to be exact!) We are excited to see Ryan Frost returned to playing rhythm guitar.

The new album Wolves of War is set for a September 23rd release through Epochal Label Group. The album is the follow-up to their 2011 sophomore effort “Up From the Ashes”, which debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers Charts at #12.

When we ran in to Joey Roxx last September during Aftershock Festival in September, he told us to be prepared for a heavier sound and a throwback to 18 Visions roots. He also gave us a quick interview.  Check out  the interview here:

With the new music, there is no doubt that Burn Halo will be treating us to more shows! Don’t miss them perform on July 25th at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort for That Metal Show. They are also scheduled to perform at this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival on September 14th. We will make sure to bring you all the show coverage.   Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on the album announcements!

Today for our Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014, we are looking at number 12! Number 12 goes to Burn Halo!

Burn Halo has been busy for the last couple months putting together their final touches on their upcoming album. The most recent update came from a Twitter post by singer James Hart who states that the album has just been sent off for mastering! Check out the post here:

It is awesome to hear that this new album is bringing James back to his 18 Visions roots. We heard it is definitely going to be heavier and people are very excited as we are!  I am sure that they will be doing shows and hopefully a tour in support of the album. We don’t have any confirmation on release date or album name as of yet, but we will keep you posted.

We ran into guitarist, Joey Roxx during Aftershock Festival in September and he was able to give us a quick interview.  Check out  the interview here:

During Aftershock Festival weekend we ran into Joey Roxx and Ryan Frost at the Steel Panther pre-show at Ace of Spades, always fun running into them.  Then on Sunday we had a chance to grab Joey Roxx for a quick interview where he updated us with details on the new album.

I can’t wait for this album as Joey tells us it is a bit heavier and will have all the old 18 Visions fan nod in agreement. Check out  the interview here:
