The Monster Energy Outbreak Tour had their stop in Sacramento and we have been featuring the sets by  Sworn In and Like Moths to Flames and Crown The Empire. Now it is time for the spotlight to shine on Attila. Attila made their return to the Ace of Spades and absolutely destroy it again with a ferocious energy filled set. It was another sold out show on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour and the crowd definitely did not disappoint.  The second Attila hit the stage, you could just see a rush of crowd surfing bodies. The security definitely had their work cut out for them as they insured everyone that wanted to get up front, safely made it and had a kick ass time as well.

Whether you were there for Attila or the other bands, there is no disputing one simple fact; Fronz is an amazing and captivating front man. He is there to insure that every single member of that packed audience is having the time of their life. That is not to say that his band doesn’t have the same engaging adrenaline filled stage presence, because they absolutely do!  Chris is a madman on guitar and Kalan is fierce on his bass. These guys are like kernels popping as they just jump around the stage and you are in awe from start to finish. Then you look back and see Sean in all his glory bringing everything together as he is spot on, pounding away on his drums.

Check out the photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

I would strongly encourage you to check out Attila on the remaining Monster Energy Outbreak Tour dates. They put on a show you don’t want to miss. I know there seems to be so much crap talking about bands these days, but do yourself a favor and check them out for yourself, you just may find yourself hooked.

Like Moths to Flames is one band that I have been waiting to catch live and last night, they lived up to and exceeded every expectation I had. These guys have such intense passion that shines right through their hardcore music. You can’t stand still as their energy charges the venue and ignites the crowd into a mosh/circle pit frenzy amid the continuous crowd surfing fans.

The Monster Energy Outbreak made a well deserved stop in Sacramento at the Ace of Spades and it was a night full of kick ass music. What was really special about the night was that each band had a great turnout of dedicated fans and you could definitely see that Like Moths to Flames had a really strong fanbase. It seemed that everywhere I turned, I could see fans proudly wearing their  LMTF shirts and merch. It is great to see the fans continuing to support their favorite bands and for getting out to a live show. It was a packed house and another sold out show.

Check out the photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

We recently brought you our show recap of Black Veil Brides and The Black Mass Tour  as it made it’s stop in San Francisco at the legendary Warfield Theater. We briefly told you about the energetic set of Set It Off and we know you want more! Set It Off hit the stage and the adrenaline in the crowd was raised up and you couldn’t help but get infected with the high powered vitality on that stage.

It was great to see the crowd sing along to fan favorites as well as their new song, Why Worry.  If you weren’t familiar with Set It Off before that night, I am sure you left the Warfield acknowledging that they just might be your new favorite band. They are passionate musicians that light up the stage with their adrenalized pop/punk rock. No need to categorize with a genre, just enjoy the feel good music that invigorates you from head to toe.   Check out our photo gallery from Rockin Ryan of their set:

loudwire

Loudwire has announced they will be holding the first Loudwire Music Festival which will feature multi stages with a variety of rock genres and camping options. The dates have been set for June 26, 27 & 28th and held in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Grammy award winner and platinum artist Linkin Park have been confirmed as first headliner of the three day festival. “We’re really excited to play the first ever Loudwire music festival,” says Chester Bennington, lead vocalist of Linkin Park. “This will be one epic rock show!

linkin

We are very excited to launch the Loudwire Music Festival at Jam Ranch,” remarked Dhruv Prasad, Executive Vice President, Live Events for Townsquare Media. “Loudwire is one of our flagship brands–spanning broadcast radio, syndicated radio and a national website–so the addition of a live festival seemed a natural way to evolve the brand and deliver a great experience to rock music fans.”

We love the opportunities that festivals bring to music lovers. They are able to see many of their favorite bands in one weekend and it always opens them up to check out new bands. The experience at festivals is always a memorable one as you enjoy the bands, have a great time and make friends with the same music interest. Make sure to mark your calendar for this one so you can be part of their inaugural festival!

Festival-goers will have the option of a fully immersive weekend with the festival’s on-site camping selections.  Camping options range from standard (within walking distance to the festival grounds) starting at $95  to premier (the closest camping to the festival grounds) and VIP (campgrounds for VIP ticket holders only, close to festival grounds), starting at $180.

Weekend ticket options include General Admission weekend passes for $79. Reserved Seating starts at $225, and the VIP Seating & Experience starts at $400. Additional festival information, including ticketing and camping options, can be found here.

We will continue to bring you updates as the lineup and artists are announced. We will be marking the dates on our calendar so that we can bring you full coverage from the festival.

Ice Nine Kills are currently out on the Not Your American Idols Tour and we are happy they made a stop in Sacramento earlier this week. One thing is for sure, they put on an incredibly fierce and energetic set every time they perform. This time was no different as they unleashed their energy onto the crowd at the Assembly Music Hall.  It was also a hard night considering they had just learned about the passing of Tyson Stevens from Scary Kids Scaring Kids and they even dedicated a song. The crowd was intense as they had quite a stream of crowd surfers and determined moshers. Of course Spencer couldn’t hold back as he joined in the crowd surfing!  Check out the photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set here:

In case you missed it, make sure to watch their recently released acoustic video for Jonathan. The traditionally melodic heavy band show their emotional soft side as they truly deliver a moving and poignant video which features Jonathan, a handsome young man who suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease. The video will surely be beneficial in raising awareness to find a cure for mitochondrial disorder which could impact cures for Autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, Muscular Dystrophy. As I watch my mom suffer through her advanced stages of Parkinson’s, I can only hope to one day find a cure which will help others as they battle these diseases and ease their suffering. Check out the video here for Jonathan:

Spencer explains more about the song, Jonathan, “‘Jonathan’ is probably the most important song this band has ever created. It’s written from the perspective of my good friend Jonathan, whose sight is being slowly stolen from him by a terrible disease called mitochondrial disorder. We hope his story of unrelenting strength in the face of progressive blindness becomes an inspiring anthem for him and everyone out there who faces life-altering challenges.” – Spencer

The song is off their current release, The Predator Becomes The Prey which was released earlier this year. You can pick up the acoustic version of Jonathan by heading over to iTunes here. A portion of the profits will be going to researching to find a cure. More information about mitochondrial diseas can be found by visiting www.mitoaction.org

There are still some remaining dates for the Not Your American Idol Tour so make sure you don’t miss them!

Set It Off are premiering a new song, Tomorrow featuring Jason Lancaster (Go Radio) which is off their forthcoming album, Duality and is set for a release of October 14th via Equal Vision Records. It is a really upbeat and bubbly new track that will definitely have you anticipating the new album. I know I am really excited to hear more from Set it Off. Check out the song here:

This song is for anyone who loved our song “Dream Catcher” from our previous album Cinematics – because it’s actually a sequel to that song. There are so many hidden things in this song and this track actually took a lot of melodies and progressions from a previous song I wrote before our Horrible Kids EP even came out. In that old demo, I wrote a bridge that I remember thinking, “No one but Jason Lancaster should be singing this part…” Well, when working on “Tomorrow” I brought that bridge back and threw it in there and realized I had to reach out to him. So I did and he said yes and was really excited about the track! It’s not every day you have such an elaborate idea of what you want something to be and you, as an artist, are able to accomplish every goal you had in that song,” shares vocalist Cody Carson. “When I got the mix back with Jason on it, I legit shed a tear. I am so proud of this and the message it has. We all have bumpy roads in our lives, we have definitely had one but nothing is going to stand in our way. We have tomorrow and each day we will take FULL advantage of the time we have been given. This one is for the dream catchers.”

You can pre-order the album on iTunes here and get ready to catch Set It Off on the upcoming Black Veil Brides Black Mass 2014 Tour with special guests Falling In Reverse and Drama Club.
