Sunday night in San Francisco was an awesome one. While many were watching the SF Giants shut out the Kansas City Royals in game 5 of the World Series, we were excited to be at the Termintour at the Above DNA Lounge. We were blown away by The Rabid Whole and you can read more about them here.  But the magic of the music didn’t end there, Cyanotic came out and completely dominated the DNA as they unleashed their angry robot noises to the crowd. It was fierce and their style of music can be described as part electronic rock blended with punk angst vocals and sprinkled with aggressive metal. Just the right recipe to create the most intense music that will satisfy your need for ear porn! Cyanotic still stands to be one of the most innovative bands to blend genres together and form their own signature sound. Their music have inspired so many to follow suit and create their own fusion of music.

The powerful vocals of Sean have the right balance of punk angst and an air of rage that just seizes you and captures your full attention. Chris comes out and is amazing on stage, it is as if he is possessed by the guitar gods! He is completely “in the zone” as his blazing out riffs and stomping on stage, he can stop you dead in your tracks with his eyes! Jordan is the electronic genius as he is holding everything together with synths and samples while still displaying an energetic stage presence. Cyanotic is definitely part man/part machine and you too must hear their angry robot noises. Check out the photos from our Rockin Ryan of their set:

Cyanotic is:

  • Sean Payne: Vocals, Samples, Drums
  • Chris Hryniewieck: Guitars
  • Jordan Davis: Synths, Samples, Drums

blueeyed

Industrial electronic rocker Blue Eyed Christ released a lyric video earlier this week for their cover of Gary Glitter and later Joan Jett song, Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah). Check it out here:

Blue Eyed Christ is the project of mixer/producer/engineer, John D. Norten who explains about the cover, “I’ve always been a big fan of Joan Jett. I love the mix of raw energy and sexual tension in her version of “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)”. I actually didn’t even know it was originally a Gary Glitter song until after I recorded my version. Mine is much more true to the Joan Jett version but modernized with big drums, huge guitars, heavy synths, and a dose of noise to give it the Blue Eyed Christ sound.

Blue Eyed Christ was first started by John as a teen in 1991. He then released a couple albums but it has been 12 years since his last release of American Whore. The new album, A Rush and a Thrill, is a whirlwind ride straight into the psyche of John D. Norten and the world of Blue Eyed Christ.
Do you want to be featured in their new video for Freakshow? Well now is your chance to enter the contest!

chrys

French industrial band, Chrysalide who are definitely not new to to scene, are finally getting the attention they deserve here in the US. Their sound reminds me of fresh new blend of Powerman5000 meets Davey Suicide with a side Skinny Puppy. Their new album Personal Revolution is due out on October 14th via Dependent. They have released their first single off the album, Question Everything. Check it out here:

Chrysalide states, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 21st century, the century of all crisis: political, moral, economical, ecological and individual. It is now 14 years old, but it is already old and dying. As never before, the world has access to so much knowledge, and in the same time, as never before, the world knows so much mediocrity. To sum up: This world is totally fucked up.

You can pre-order Personal Revolution by visiting here: http://www.stormingthebase.com/chrysalide-personal-revolution-cd/#oid=1002_2.  Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.

Beauty in the Suffering just finished up their US Summer Tour dates and now are ready to treat you to their new lyric video for their track, Juliet (You’re Mine). The song was written, programmed, arranged, performed, and produced by DieTrich Thrall and features drums from Chris Emery (American Head Charge). The track can be purchased using the “name your own price” model on the band’s Bandcamp here. Check out the lyric video here:

The song is a great track with passionate lyrics amid their fresh new industrial metal. It is a fierce track and definitely one to pick up. DieTrich explains about the song:

Excited to be able to introduce everybody to our new single ‘JULIET’ (You’re Mine)!’ Very much inspired by the many friends who have filled my social media news feeds with all of their experiences and confessions of unrequited love.. Makes me wonder why we put ourselves through this soul-crushing crucible in the first place – that we could somehow find that ONE person to fill ALL of the many holes in our heart. But then, if it had been too easy – would it have mattered as much..?

Broken pieces of the mess that you left behind you.. The Beauty We Glean From The Suffering We Have Endured Can NEVER Be Denied..” DieTrich Thrall (Beauty In The Suffering)

Beauty in the Suffering really have a great sound, think a blend of Rob Zombie, Murderdolls and Marilyn Manson. They bring their Electro-Metal Hard Rock to life and raise the level of intensity and energy.  Beauty in the Suffering is the brainchild of the talented DieTrich Thrall and has become a supergroup featuring an ever-expanding lineup that includes veterans from American Head Charge, Dope, Genitorturers, Skinlab, Razorblade Dolls and many more. Make sure to check out Beauty in the Suffering social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news.
