Like Monroe have just released their new album, Things We Think, But Never Speak earlier this week and it has already been receiving a lot of high praise. I absolutely love the new energy on it and it is fierce!  They have also released a video for their song, The Hills which was directed by Aaron Marsh (Of Mice and Men).  “Working with Aaron was a no brainer,” says guitarist Chris Deckard. He was an easy choice! He was present during the writing process and has been a part of this project since the very beginning.” Check out the new video here:

The song is also getting a lot of airplay on XM Sirius Octane channel and these guys truly deserve all the great attention. They are such a hard working band that put on adrenaline fueled sets. They have just wrapped up a tour with Eyes Set To Kill but I am sure we will be hearing about them heading out on another tour soon. These guys are unstoppable!   You can pick up the new album on iTunes here.

So make sure to check them out and follow them at all their social media sites.

Hailing from Copenhagen, Demark is Forever Still and these fierce rockers are ready to take over the music scene with their female fronted rock band. In a time when the music scene is suffering such an identity crisis and people are busy placing labels and genres on a band’s music, along comes along Forever Still and is breaking the mold of Rock and Roll. Their intense sound can take you from catchy melodies, passionate vocals to smoldering guitars and energetic drumming. The stunning vocals of Maja brings such intensity to their songs, she has quite a vocal range and is spectacular at creating the connection to the listener.

Forever Still has just released a video for their song, Scars and it really highlights the intense energy that this band brings out. Their passion for music fuels the adrenaline that they release on stage. Check it out here:

The song is about some very violent and dark emotions, and we wanted the video to reflect that” says front woman Maja Schønning. “So we went down into this really creepy, flooded basement and shot the main part of the video there. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, but neither was the events that inspired this song. I feel like we captured the essence of it really well”

Now that you are hooked on their new song, you can download it for free at the band’s website: www.forverstill.dk. Make sure to tell all your friends about this awesome band. The band has recently recruited two new members and is playing their first show with this lineup on October 18 at High Voltage in Copenhagen. I will see if we can bring you an interview with Forever Still.

Cimino

Hard rockers, CIMINO have been one of my favorite new bands. Their sound is one thing…. straight up rock n roll. No blurring of the lines of genres, no trying to reinvent the wheel, stray from their roots or any of that. This powerhouse rock band just wants to ROCK and that is exactly what I love about them. They bring such a truth into their music and along with their well crafted rock songs, you are immediately drawn in.

They have just released a video for their second single, Animal which is off their amazing new album, Angels and Animals. The video was shot at Rocketbox Studios in Kansas City and directed and produced by Brad Austin. It has a raw in your face feel that highlights the honesty in this band, not a glitzy overdone Hollywood style which is overused in today’s scene. We shot in mainly black and white for the same, raw feeling, similar to the album cover and material as a whole,” the band says. “The tune “Animal” is really up close and personal and we wanted the video to have the same approach.”

Check it out here:

CIMINO is Kyle Cimino on Vocals, Lead Guitar, Sebastian Anderson on Drums, Vocals, Trevor Brown on Guitar, Vocals and Danny Lee on Bass. Together they are taking the music scene over with their catchy ballads, smoking guitar riffs, and edgy vocals. CIMINO currently has out their third album, “Angels and Animals“.  The album is filled with melodic rock songs, anthems features the singles “Start All Over,” “Anarchy,” and “Alive.”.

ReVerbed

Straight from the UK is the fast rising pop punk band, ReVerbed. They have quickly gained a lot of attention as they were nominated for the Kerrang Best British Newcomer Award 2013 and have performed at over 200 gigs in the last 18 months. Who is ReVerbed? You have George on Vocals & Guitar, Zoë on Vocals & Guitar, Josh on Drums & Vocals, and Joe on Bass.  Check out a video for their song, Uncommonwealth which is from their album, This Machine:

We had the chance to interview ReVerbed and are pleased to bring that to you here.

* * * * * * * * *

Music Junkie Press: Thank you for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. First we would like to get a bit of history on ReVerbed, How and when did you guys form?

ReVerbed: We’ve been a band for just over 5 years now, myself, George and Josh met during secondary school and college. After being in other bands previously we decided to form one together. Then during University we met Joe and he joined us on bass about 18 months ago, and we’ve been going strong together ever since.

Music Junkie Press:  ReVerbed has a great energetic sound and we are glad to see more pop punk bands making their presence known! What are some of the most influential artists that inspired you with your music?

ReVerbed: Thank you very much! We all grew up listening to bands such as Blink-182, Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, so we are influenced by them greatly. We love energetic and passionate sounding music so we hope to include that in our songs too.

Music Junkie Press: What are you currently working on and do you have an album or EP out as of yet? (if so, send us links on where our audience can purchase)

ReVerbed: We released our latest mini album ‘This Machine’ in November last year which you can download it from the usual places, iTunes, Spotify etc. and purchase physical copies from reverbed.co.uk We are now already working on our next release, and will be recording over the Summer, and it’s set to be released at the end of the year.

Music Junkie Press: We have seen that you have completed several tours in your area, what can we expect from a live show of ReVerbed?

ReVerbed: Lots of energy, aggression, passion and a lot of sweat! We always pride ourselves on our live performance’s, giving 110% every show, we want our audience to know we’re enjoying it just as much as they are.

Music Junkie Press:  Do you have any plans for coming to the US or do you have any tour announcements that you would like for us to share?

ReVerbed: We would love to come to the States eventually and hopefully it won’t be too long! For now though we’re sticking to the UK and hopefully be visiting more of Europe again this Summer, you can keep up to date with our shows on our website and social networking pages.

Music Junkie Press: Do you all collaborate on the writing or do you have a particular songwriting process?

ReVerbed: George is the main songwriter in the band. He comes to us with the main ideas of a song and then we all work together and add our own individual parts. Myself and George often collaborate during the lyric writing process and then we all work on the finishing touches of the songs as a band.

Music Junkie Press:  You have a song that I checked out that I really enjoy, called Shine A Light, can you tell me more about it?

ReVerbed: Great to hear you like it, thank you! It was written during an interesting time for us, we were definitely finding our sound and the direction we wished to take. It was the first time we released a single independently and that’s what the song is about. It represents finding ourselves, our independence and a place we feel like we finally belong to.

Music Junkie Press: If you could put your dream lineup together for ReVerbed, what three bands would you put on the bill with you?

ReVerbed: Very difficult question as we all love some many different bands. If I was pick though I would say : Biffy Clyro, Blink-182 & Foo Fighters. They’re 3 bands we all collectively enjoy.

Music Junkie Press: We at Music Junkie Press are very strong believers on how music can help, heal or inspire us, can you recall a particular time where music was most there for you and can you share a bit about?

ReVerbed: Music is pretty much everything to all of us in ReVerbed. It brought us together in the first place and made all of us family. For me personally it has helped me through many times, there’s always a song or band for every mood I’m in and it has been more comforting than anything else I’ve ever experienced.

Music Junkie Press:  Lastly, what would ReVerbed like to share with our audience?

ReVerbed: Our gratitude and appreciation for checking us out and hopefully we will see some of you in the future. Also you can check out a recent cover we did of ‘Maneater’ by Nelly Furtado –

Thank you for your time and we look forward to spreading the word about your album and your music!

ReVerbed: Thanks very much guys!

SINNER SINNERS

Happily married rocker couple Steve and Sam Thill met in a small town in the center of France at the age of 15 and fell fast in love. Eight years later in 2009, the couple started SINNER SINNERS out of their mutual love of rock music and desire to be at each other’s sides throughout all aspects of their musical careers. Since their inception and relocation to Los Angeles, SINNER SINNERS have pushed their forceful punk-influenced rock n’ roll out to the controlled masses, but see 2014 as a figurative launching pad designed to hit the big time. This is definitely the year for SINNER SINNERS.

SINNER SINNERS are just about to release their new album, XI in only a few days, April 21st to be exact. I have taken a listen and it is awesome! It is filled with aggressive punk infused rock songs that will electrify your senses and intensify your emotions. There is something so pure about this album where you can actually feel the passion of this married couple being emulated through their music. Definitely a journey that you will enjoy and leave you feeling invigorated after. The album will hit digital stores via independent release on the band’s Cadavra Records. Check out a video for their song Riot which is off the forthcoming album:

We had the opportunity to chat with SINNER SINNERS and are pleased to bring you that interview here:

 * * * * * * * *

Music Junkie Press: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press.   We are excited about the release of your new album, XI next week. Can you tell us what can we expect from the album or tell us more about it?

Sinner Sinners: Thank you. If you’ve heard our first record you can expect something very different, it’s faster, louder and a lot more aggressive. We mixed a lot of different influences we have and tried to not stick to any of them, it was pretty much written and recorded without any kind of rules.

Music Junkie Press: Being in a band and being married is awesome, you two get to experience this crazy world of music with your partner by your side. What is your songwriting process together?

Sinner Sinners: The awesome thing about it is that we can start working on a song at any time of the day or night. I usually come up with a riff idea and play it to Sam sometimes at 4 in the morning and we start putting something together right away.

Music Junkie Press: Your music truly brings out the punk angst which we have been so missing lately in the music scene. It has me reminiscing of my nightclub light in the 80s/90s. Who were some of the most influential artists for you and your music?

Sinner Sinners: We have a very wide variety of influences, the Doors, early Rolling Stones, 60’s psychedelic garage as well as punk rock and some metal. We steal stuff from all of those influences and try to mix it together to cover the tracks.

Music Junkie Press: With the release of the album less than a week away, do you have any touring plans in the works?

Sinner Sinners: Yes, we are now booking May and June in the US and heading to Europe in September

Music Junkie Press: With the album, No Hard Feelings, that is just a bad ass aggressive song that I love. Are you currently working on a music video for that?

Sinner Sinners: Yes, we actually filmed a video for it last time we were in France, it should be out by the time this get published.

Music Junkie Press: On the album, another song that really stands out to me is Rise Up, the intro and then the intensity comes in, LOVE IT! can you tell me more about that song?

Sinner Sinners: We wanted to write a very fast and agro 1mn song to open the shows with, we then added the very mellow acoustic intro to it, that’s pretty much the only mellow part of the record. It talks about our atheist point of view of the horrors of Christianity.

Music Junkie Press: We at Music Junkie Press are very strong believers about how music can heal, help, inspire and move, do you remember a particular time where music was there to help you the most? Can you share the story with us?

Sinner Sinners: Definitely, we grew up in a very small town of France with a very high percentage of unemployment. It made us travel and kept us busy instead of doing what most of the kids were doing, drugs, stealing cars and stabbing people. I’m exaggerating here but it kept us out of trouble.

Music Junkie Press: Do you have any upcoming shows that we can share with our readers?

Sinner Sinners: Not anything we can talk about yet, sorry. Soon!

Music Junkie Press: If you could take a song from a completely different genre and turn it into a SINNER SINNERS style what might that be?

Sinner Sinners: There’s so many, we’ve tried a few. We’ve been thinking about White Rabbit, but it’s already been done by 10 billion bands, maybe a Shocking Blue song as Sam is from their hometown of Den Haag in Holland. Maybe some 60’s psychedelic or maybe a Cure song or Alice Cooper or Bowie… I can go on and on.

Music Junkie Press: If we could peak into your Ipod, what artist or song might we be most surprised at finding in there?

Sinner Sinners: That’s exactly why I keep people away from my Ipod! Maybe Pulp or my compilation of traditional Hawaiian guitar songs, I don’t know, is this surprising?

Music Junkie Press: What is next for SINNER SINNERS?

Sinner Sinners: As always once our new album is out we start working on the following one, which is going to be very different from the previous one. So of course touring as much as possible and then go back to writing and recording some new tunes, which is very what we’re looking forward to the most.

Music Junkie Press: Lastly, what would you like to share with your fans and audience?

Sinner Sinners: Yes, French fries aren’t French at all, if you want to eat fries in France you can find some at McDonalds. We also never heard of french dips or toasts, don’t tell anyone.

* * * * * * * *

So make sure to pick up your copy of XI on April 21st and look forward to seeing a lot more of SINNER SINNERS in 2014!
