California Breed

The bad ass new rock band, California Breed featuring legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes, drummer extraordinaire Jason Bonham and 23 year old newcomer guitarist/singer/songwriter Andrew Watt have announced their US debut performance. They are set to perform at the legendary Whisky a GoGo in Hollywood on May 28th. This is definitely a show you don’t want to miss! They will also be making an appearance at The Gramercy Theatre in New York City on May 31st.

Their self titled new album is set to release on May 20th through Frontier Records and was produced by Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Jamey Johnson, Shooter Jennings) and recorded at his Nashville studio and features equal co-writing credits among the three man power rock group. We were first treated to their first single off the album, “Sweet Tea” and it rapidly began climbing the charts.  Sweet Tea definitely kicks ass as it brings to life the big ’70s sounds of rock that we miss! Glenn’s vocals just take you on a ride and it has some killer guitar work on it. You can check out the video here:

They have also recently released an animated lyric video for their song, Midnight Oil which was created by Nev Todorović who spearheads the interactive media production company The Young Astronauts. Check out the new video here:

CALIFORNIA BREED will be available as a CD, digital download and a Deluxe Edition CD + DVD featuring the bonus song “Solo,”  two video clips and a documentary. Fans that pre-order the digital download on iTunes will receive an instant download of the first single, “Sweet Tea” upon ordering. The iTunes and Amazon pre-order links are as follows: iTunes: CD: and CD Deluxe Edition CD + DVD:

Make sure to mark your calendars for May 20th and pick up the album and if you can, do your best to make it to their May 28th show at the Whisky. These three guys have created a powerful big sound that is worthy of all our attention. They truly know how to write well crafted songs that will have us all rockin out!   Make sure to visit their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news.
